Books and Reading

Libraries have always been a place where people go for books – books for pleasure, books for learning, books on foreign lands and languages, books to read at bedtime or at the beach, but what do you do when the library is closed?

eaudiosNow you have choices. You can download a book to read on your computer or handheld device. Or you can research what you might want to read next and request it from home. Are there authors whose books you love, but you've read everything they've written? Use NoveList to find similar books by different authors.

Read the New York Times Book Review to see what new and exciting books you need to request from home. Take a look at past winners of the Man Booker Award or the Pulitzer Prize, or if you're looking for something lighter check out the Agatha Awards, Chick Lit Books or Guysread.com, all of which is possible through your virtual library.

Have fun. Learn something new. Do both and enjoy.
