You can give to the library in different ways, by becoming a volunteer, helping the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library or making a monetary donation. The Greenfield Public Library is a municipal department of the Town of Greenfield. Donations to the library are tax deductible.
Gifts of Cash
Checks may be made out to the Greenfield Public Library with the words "Gift Fund" written on the memo line. This money goes directly to the library and is used to supplement the operating budget for books and and small furnishings depending on current needs. ~OR~ Checks may be made out to the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, c/o Greenfield Public Library, 402 Main Street, Greenfield MA 01301. The Friends organization gives money to the library each year for specific programs and services (e.g. children’s summer reading program, adult book groups, summer Saturday hours, etc.).
Adopt-a-Magazine
We welcome contributions to help us maintain our current collection of magazines and newspapers. You can pay for a subscription to a periodical by calling Carol Reed at 413 772-1544, ext. 16. She will provide you with complete information.
Memorial Funds
A fund for the purchase of books and other materials may be established in honor or memory of a person. A special bookplate will be placed in each item purchased from this fund. Please contact the Library Director at 413-772-1544, ext. 19 for more information.
