The Greenfield Public Library will kick-off the Summer Reading Program with a virtual gathering of Greenfield's finest felines, and their associated people.
The ZOOM event will celebrate participants' shared love of reading and cats, which will include a cat-themed scavenger hunt, interactive components, and end with an Official Screenshot of As Many Cats as Possible. Attendees will talk books, cats, and hold a virtual baby shower for the Summer Reading Program.
The event will also introduce people to the library's newest summer reading app: Beanstack. Beanstack is an online program that the library is using this summer to help people track their reading, have a chance to win prizes, and help with the community reading goal to read 117 books in six weeks to represent the number of years GPL has served the city.
The virtual event is set for July 7 at 7 pm and will be held over ZOOM. The event is family friendly, but parents should plan on playing along.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library.
Participants must complete the form to register for the event by July 6.
