Following the route of the downtown ice sculptures, this year’s poetry walk will feature winter themed poems written within the last 100 years.

Traveling to the First Winter Carnival: Virtual Escape Room

Can you make it to the first ever Greenfield Winter Carnival in this Agatha Christie inspired escape room? Solve puzzles in 8 train cars to make it to the engine and save the day! After you complete the escape room, stop by the library during business hours for a special prize!

Children’s Take and Makes: Tiny Winter Hats

Stop by the Children’s Room to pick up a tiny winter hat craft kit, beginning on Friday, February 4th. The kits will be available to pick up during regular library business hours until supplies run out. This craft kit is designed for kids aged 6-12.

All Ages Take and Makes: Maker Space Paper Circuits

Come to the library and pick up a Maker Space paper circuit kit beginning on Friday February 4th. Assemble two cards featuring images of historic Greenfield Winter Carnivals from the 1920’s that light up with LED bulbs. This all ages project is best suited for ages 8 through adult and will be available for pick up during library business hours and available until supplies run out.

These events, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, are free and available to everyone. The GPL would also like to thank the City of Greenfield and the Recreation Department for inviting the library to help celebrate Greenfield’s 100th Winter Carnival.
