Come and join the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library for their 4th Annual Spelling Bee as part of Greenfield’s Bee Week Celebration. This year, for the first time, the Spelling Bee will take place at the Pushkin Gallery at 4 Federal St, in Greenfield, MA. We will be selecting words from antediluvian to zymurgy from the Webster’s Third New International Dictionary of the English language, so everyone is bound to increase their vocabulary at this event. Grab some logophiles from your hive and form a team of three “bees” to compete with the swarm! And even if you are an abecedarian, come along and cheer on your friends. There will be beer and wine, as well as snacks available for purchase and a variety of raffle items as well. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. Please pre-register at the library or via email: fgplspellingbee@gmail.com. Entry fee for each team is $15.00. Registration by Thursday, May 30 would be greatly appreciated.
